About

My name is Josh Quist, and for 367 days straight, I watched Freddy vs. Jason. Every single day. On purpose.

If you're wondering why someone would do that to themselves, honestly, so am I. The short version: I had a fear of commitment, and instead of addressing it like a normal person, I decided to commit to watching the same horror movie every day for a year. Because that makes sense.

This blog is the real-time record of that project. Every entry, every day, from the first awkward viewing to the last. Some days I had things to say. Some days I didn't. I wrote anyway.

Along the way, the project expanded beyond just Freddy vs. Jason. Child's Play showed up. Other horror movies wandered in. But the core stayed the same: show up, watch, write, repeat. For 367 days.

What started as a strange personal experiment became something I didn't expect  a daily practice in showing up, even when I didn't feel like it. Especially when I didn't feel like it.

The blog is now a complete archive of that year. If you want to start from the beginning, scroll to the bottom. If you want to see how it ends, you're already close.

Thanks for being here. Or not. Either way, I already watched the movie today.
