Why is Jason responsive when he is called a big stupid dog or an asshole?


The movie never provides an explanation for this, but it really isn't necessary. It's interesting to note that he seems to be the least responsive to something.


Perhaps he is responsive to being called those names because he was teased and bullied during his youth; those words hold a significant meaning for him. This adds complexity to his character and gives insight into his behavior. I think this is a discussion worth exploring further at another time.
