Searching hell?
Day 232
June 18, 2024
Did Freddy need to search the bowels of hell to return?
Honestly, no.
Eventually, he was bound to return once people died off and with the evolution of time.
You can only hide him for so long until someone would have stumbled upon his crimes, death, and supernatural rebirth.
His crimes would have been examined under a microscope, making him look terrible, but there is more to his story. The entertaining part would be how he got away with everything based on a technicality.
To follow up, the main focus of the return would most likely be what the town did with vigilante justice. Fear would begin to spread, and Freddy would be relevant again.
Thus being able to return without needing Jason. Freddy’s return would be on a grander scale and not be confined to Elm Street. And what else would appeal to this is the deaths that came afterward. Supernatural shows have their audience, and more than likely, they would visit the house or town where he died. Things would be possibly debunked, and the deaths of the teens may be looked at as suicide by some skeptics.
So, as time evolves and things are discovered, Freddy could return repeatedly if they were ever to bring him back.
In the film's scope, they did include real-world events, so what's stopping them from continuing the based in reality but in a fictional town trend?
I'm aware that in a past post, I mentioned this as an idea to bring Freddy back, but after so many viewings, the movie does take place in our current world at the time, with the mention of Columbine and the picture of President George W. Bush. Who is to say that continuing the current approach wouldn't result in the same outcome of the film being based in our current world?
