Chapter Twelve
It seems like Will's character could have benefited from exploring his struggle with the death of Mark. The loss of a friend can be a challenging experience, and allowing characters to process their emotions and learn from such experiences can add depth to their development. It's possible that by not delving deeper into this aspect of Will's life, the story missed an opportunity to showcase his growth and resilience in the face of adversity.
The book, in a way, states that parents are not a factor in the story. That is true. The film lacks parents outside of Lori’s father.
The chapter unfolds similarly to the corresponding scene in the movie, wherein the quintet convenes at Freeberg's basement to deliberate on their next course of action.
I wish the movie had what the book has with Stubbs telling them the events of Jason Goes to Hell.
Roy Burns is mentioned in the book!!!
The chapter ends as Linderman searches Hypnocil on the web along with Jason Voorhees. The group has also decided to break back into Westin Hills to get the Hypnocil.
