TGIF
Day 165
April 12th, 2024
Why was it necessary to pan out of the conversation Will and Mark were having in the back of the van regarding what Mark did at the school?
I firmly believe that the edit in the film was an unnecessary and poorly executed move. I consider it to be the worst edit in the entire movie. It disrupts the flow of the conversation for no apparent reason, showing a random shot of the house where the van is parked before resuming the conversation abruptly.
The location of the van's parking spot seems insignificant in the context provided, as it fails to provide any meaningful information or context to the viewer. Instead, it raises more questions than answers, leaving the viewer confused and uncertain about the relevance of this detail.
During their conversation, Will and Mark were making progress with the plot. However, at some point, someone decided to change course and show a house instead, which disrupted the flow of the story. Afterward, they attempted to rectify this mistake by moving the plot forward less effectively.
