Score

 Day 163

April 10th, 2024

Oh, how the mighty have fallen, or have they?

I want to highlight a crucial aspect of the movie's score that I found pretty underwhelming. The score lacks consistency and coherence, which makes it challenging for the audience to connect with the scenes. The score fails to create the necessary tension in critical moments, which could have elevated the film's impact. Moreover, in some scenes, the score is unnecessarily intense, even when the situation doesn't demand it. This disparity in the score's quality leads to an overall lack of depth in the film's emotional impact, which is quite disappointing.

One of the best examples of how inconsistent the score is comes when Linderman dies. A sympathetic score could have elevated that scene, making it more emotional and impactful. Instead, we get a less sympathetic score that detracts from how impactful Linderman's death could have been. This lack of emotional depth due to an inconsistent score just adds to the overall lazy execution of the film, which is disappointing for the audience.

To me, the score takes on the form of a curious person. Curiosity is all over the score.
