New film rating!
Day 157
April 4th, 2024
Where does this go next?
Over the past 157 days, I have been closely observing this film. As time has passed, I have noticed that it is approaching the point where I will need to reevaluate and adjust my rating of the movie. At present, my rating stands at 2.5, but I am anticipating that this may change after my upcoming reassessment.
Based on my analysis, I have a firm conviction that the movie's rating is unlikely to improve in the future. However, I don't think it will plummet to a terrible zero rating either. Admittedly, the movie has not aged well since its initial release and can be classified as a bad movie. Nevertheless, there are still some redeeming qualities that give it some level of appeal and prevent it from being a complete flop.
The film in question had been much-anticipated by fans of both the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th franchises. It finally brought together two iconic horror villains, Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees, in an epic showdown on the big screen. Unfortunately, the film failed to live up to expectations. While it was exciting to see the two villains finally come face-to-face, the fight scenes were scarce and underwhelming.
The film's biggest downfall was undoubtedly its lackluster script. Despite attempting to pay homage to the source materials of both franchises, the story failed to satisfy fans of either. The movie tried too hard to please everyone, resulting in a disjointed plot that felt rushed and unsatisfying.
It's important to note, however, that it's impossible to please every franchise fan. Some viewers may have found the film engaging and entertaining despite its flaws. Nevertheless, for many fans, this was not the Freddy vs Jason movie they had hoped for. Despite its shortcomings, it remains the only film to feature these two legendary horror icons facing off against one another.
The new rating is a 2.
