Curfew revisited
Day 159
April 6th, 2024
In the film, I understand that the town officials are considering imposing a curfew to contain Freddy, but this idea seems flawed. I believe that setting a curfew would only provide Freddy with more time to carry out his crimes. Furthermore, it does not address the underlying issue and is unlikely to benefit the town officials in the long run. Although the curfew would ensure children are within the town limits, it does not prevent them from sleeping. Instead, it gives them more opportunities to sleep, which may not be helpful in the given situation.
The premise of the film suggests that sleep is fatal. However, it is confusing why the storyline would involve implementing a curfew and roadblocks to restrict the residents of Springwood from leaving. It would seem logical that the town would want to remove the source of the problem, Freddy, from their midst. Surprisingly, they choose to contain the issue within their boundaries.
The writing appears to be nonsensical and lacking in coherence. The scriptwriters did not put in enough effort to ensure the plot was well-developed and the characters were fleshed out. This leaves a lot to be desired, and it is a clear indication of their laziness. It is disappointing to see such a poorly crafted story, and it detracts from the overall enjoyment of the experience.
