Where are the ladies?


That was the conversation Blake and Trey were having shortly after they arrived at Lori’s. They were talking about Lori and Kia, but were they? We can only assume that they were. 


That scene, to me, shows a few things. The main thing it shows me is that Trey was never committed to the idea of him and Gibb. He just used Gibb for what he wanted and knew that emotionally, he had to give up very little to this emotionally damaged character. That's why he trashes on her for how she smells and tastes. You could say he does that because she is a smoker; I highly doubt that. He uses Gibb because he knows that she will give it up. Hell, even Gibb mentions that she doesn't understand why she is with him in a moment of clarity. 


So, we see Trey’s true intentions with Gibb. The other thing it showed me is that there is an outside chance that he has been cheating on Gibb. With how their relationship dynamic is, that would not surprise me. He would reel her back in with a false apology, and given her emotional state, she would believe it. 


What if… other ladies showed up, and Trey was the one who invited more to show up?  I think it would have made the movie enjoyable. It would have created a much-needed divide between Gibb and Trey that maybe would have resulted in a moment for her that empowered her. It would have made the movie better to have Gibb come full circle, but Kia and Lori stole her thunder.

  Day 310 September 4th, 2024 As a child, I believe that my experience of being frightened by a My Buddy doll is what has instilled in me a deep appreciation for Chucky. It's a memory that has both positive and negative aspects, and over time, I've come to value its impact on my life. Since 1988, I've held onto a vivid memory. Over time, I transitioned from being terror-stricken by anything related to horror to developing an appreciation for horror films. In the initial stages of this project, my primary focus was on Freddy vs Jason. However, after 300 days, I found it necessary to diversify and acknowledge that I've also dedicated a significant amount of time to watching Child's Play.

Completion anxiety

  Day 312 September 6, 2024 I've just realized that as the deadline approaches, I need to watch the Spanish version of Child's Play in order to fully complete that part of the project. On another note, I'm still making progress with listening to the book. This will certainly help me when it comes to reading the final four scripts, as I'll have a better understanding of the background and context.
