Day 124
Day 124
March 2nd, 2024
In the first dream sequence of the film, the girl makes a statement about Freddy Krueger loving children. This statement was questionable and raised concerns about why it was included in the movie. I believe it is a line that was in poor taste and may have been included for shock value purposes.
The utilization of shock value in the film seems to be problematic. In addition, certain lines of dialog come across as distasteful and seem to be included purely to generate shock value.
I am curious about why the writers decided to include some shock value in the film. It seems that they could have achieved the same effect by making the kills more gruesome or graphic. I would appreciate any insights you may have on this matter.
If the creators wanted to maximize the shock factor, they could not have included any teenage survivors. This outcome would have definitively identified the sole winner and provided the most significant impact in terms of shock value.
