Day 92
Day 92
January 30th, 2024
Well, it happened.
Did I finally stop watching this cinematic gem?
Did I finally have enough of watching this every day and just logged the film in bad faith?
Well, it was magical for the first half of the movie. After a long grueling day at three Disney parks, I was sitting outside of Pirates of the Caribbean at the Magic Kingdom and I was like, this is not where I wanted to watch this, but it will work. For some stupid reason, there was a forty-minute wait at the attraction I wanted to watch the movie on, The People Mover. In hindsight, I could have returned to the people mover later in the night, but I was riding off a rare high of getting through a ride of the haunted mansion without any interruptions. My first go at the ride had two interruptions and I was not a happy camper.
As mentioned, I decided to just sit down and begin watching the movie with no sound, just captions. I should have been a bit more aware of my surroundings because after 92 views it slipped my mind that you see a pair of breasts within the first few minutes. I was like shit, and pulled my phone closer to me. Then as I continued watching I slowly pulled my phone back into comfortable viewing. So I was just sitting there minding my own business and I noticed a guy walking by looking down at what I was doing and as he walked by he looked back like he was ashamed of what I chose to do. Keep in mind at this point no killings were happening, just a wrap-up of one. No nudity and no bloody sequences.
So I accomplished two things, well three with how I finished the film. I managed to offend someone with this movie as I was minding my own business exhausted, I accomplished a goal of watching the movie in a Disney park but was unable to finish it. So I accomplished my third odd place to watch the movie, in a car. I wanted to finish it in a park and who knows maybe I will make a return trip down here in the fall and accomplish that feat on the people mover but it is doubtful.
This was the best way I’ve watched the movie because of the risks. Imagine a worker walking by when I start the film and you see breasts, I would have owned up to the park ban and it would have made the story so much better. As for the person I offended, maybe you shouldn’t focus on what others are doing. I’m sure people have done worse than I have by watching Freddy vs Jason in the most “magical place in the world.” I see it as if I offended you, maybe you needed to be offended.
I also got belly bumped out of the way getting on the monorail by some guy who didn’t look like he had a fun time at the park. I guess he wanted to sit down more than I did. He gave me pissed-off looks, it was comical. The joke is on him, I was able to get on the same monorail ride and I did get to sit down. 1867 calories burned, 248 exercise minutes, and 9.82 miles walked, and watching at least half of Freddy vs Jason in a Disney park made the day worthwhile. Just mad that I did not hit 10 miles.
