Day 112
Day 112
February 19th, 2024
One of my co-workers asked me if I watch the movie daily. The answer I gave them stunned them. The answer was Yes. They didn’t believe me, and that’s fine.
I am bound to run into doubters regarding this project. As much as I’d love to show video proof of me watching the movie now, I cannot. Why? Copyright issues. The same goes for taking photos every day. I could have three hundred-plus pictures of me in front of my phone or TV. As much as I would love to post those on my blog, I can’t due to copyright issues.
So, I chose to blog about the experiences, theories, and general disdain for the film. Either way, I am having fun doing this and appreciate the support and, most of all, the views on the blog. I do hope that people are enjoying things because we have more miles ahead of us, and I just wanted to say thank you. It is the little things that keep me going and keep my sanity intact.
In today's viewing, I want to touch on how we should appreciate Mark for warning the kids of Springwood of Freddy. Without Mark spreading the fear of Freddy, we wouldn't even have Freddy back at full strength as fast as we did. It is a damn shame that we only saw Freddy torment Mark. Yeah, he did torment Lori, but he had no intention of killing her, IMO. Freddy knew Mark was weak and the key to his return.
It would have been nice to see Freddy mess with the other kids in town before he focused on taking out his helper, Mark, and leading Freeberg to his demise.
But what about Gibb? Didn’t Freddy torment her, too? Yes, but like the little jab to Blake, we never knew if Freddy was back at full strength due to Jason being a physical threat. I just saw it as a glimpse into Freddy’s playhouse.
Now with Jason, he is fucking with him.
Just remember, without Mark, Freddy isn't shit in the film. Freddy needs to learn to be more appreciative of that first victim who starts spreading the film instead of doing them dirty.
They can all save the same reoccurring dream, but once word spreads among the group, shit hits the fan fast.
