Day 79

How long was Freddy really away from his children?
That is an interesting question within itself. Per the “timeline”, there was a ten-year gap between Elm Street 5 and the events of Freddy’s Dead. Part five took place in 1989 and Dead took place in 1999. That lines up with the four years of peace line but what about the previous ten years of peace they had?
Is that when they were developing this grand plan of listening to the kids and teenagers about Freddy? Why did it take Freddy returning after ten years and “dying” in 1999 for them to decide to forget about him to take away his powers? What if Freddy left the town of Springwood for those ten years and was like let’s have one final hurrah and inflict more pain on this town and return to Springwood for the last encounter?
Is there any relation between John Doe from Freddy’s Dead and this film? I think the connection is Mark. I can see them being cousins possibly. Both spread the Fear of Freddy and both were a vessel for him. Those two gave Freddy his powers fully back and he got rid of them the moment that he did not need them anymore.
These are things that are never explained let alone the timeline of events. I am really curious as to why Freddy laid dormant for ten years compared to the four.
