Quist vs Freddy vs Jason

  Day 254 July 10th, 2024 Freddy's predicament with being dead shouldn't have posed a problem for him, considering his awareness of the situation. Unfortunately, he finds himself trapped in a ceaseless pattern of life, death, and rebirth. While I do feel a sense of frustration about this, it seems logical that Freddy would endeavour to maintain relevance in order to endure indefinitely. His manipulation of Jason was an ingenious move, but his decision to confine himself within Springwood was unwise. Although he is a well-known figure there, I believe it would have been more prudent to extract Freddy from Springwood. This move would have added a layer of complexity to the narrative and heightened the suspense by demonstrating that no one was immune to Freddy's vengeful pursuits. It could have offered Freddy an opportunity to break free from the monotonous cycle of living, dying, and being reborn.

  Day 253 July 9th, 2024 I would like to break down the worst part of the dialogue in the film. “Freddy died by fire, Jason died by water; how can we use that?” This line is just as ridiculous as it sounds. It doesn't do Lori any favors; it makes her look pretty foolish.  I've heard it 253 times and still can't understand it. It's mind-boggling how such a silly line made it into the film's final cut. Are we supposed to believe that Lori was clever and inventive by trying to defeat Freddy and Jason using the things that brought them into existence? This perhaps is the dumbest line I've heard in any movie.

  Day 252 July 8th, 2024 I want to break down a line of dialog in the film to point out how stupid it is. “Lighten up, their menthols.” How does that make smoking okay?  Probably makes it taste less like ass and more like a cough drop. Either way I do not see how that would make smoking better and less harmful.  Your logic lacks Gibb! While it may make you smell a tad better, it's still not good for you and your friends were concerned for your health and well being!

  Day 251 July 7th, 2024 Wait, let's consider this for a moment. Could Jason actually be the final girl in this film? Throughout the movie, Jason is mercilessly controlled and tormented by Freddy. He is unable to fight back and ends up resorting to his familiar pattern of mindless killing. However, everything changes when he finally confronts Freddy in the real world. The movie then shifts focus to Freddy battling against Jason, Will, and Lori.  It's intriguing to note that Freddy somehow retains some of his dream world powers and manages to survive multiple grievous injuries. In the ultimate showdown, Jason ends up protecting Will and Lori, strongly implying that they will survive.  If we look closely, Jason actually deals the decisive blow to Freddy by stabbing him through the heart, which ultimately leads to Freddy's demise. Although Lori delivers the final blow by decapitating Freddy, it's important to recognize Jason's pivotal role in taking down the antagonist...

  Day 250 July 6th, 2024 Well, we have made it to day 250. Another milestone in the project.  I think to celebrate the day, I am not going to write about the movie and just take the day off… from writing. 

  Day 249 July 5th, 2024 While watching Freddy vs. Jason, I can't help but question why fans have embraced a character like Freddy Krueger despite his troubling backstory as a child killer and pedophile. I understand that this is all fiction, but it's concerning how many people seem to overlook this aspect of the character. I'm not suggesting that Freddy should be canceled, but I do think it's important to discuss why he has become a pop culture icon despite his dark origins. As I've followed the Nightmare on Elm Street series, it seems like there's a lot of retconning of Freddy's character. Each new movie seems to change or disregard aspects of his backstory, leading to a lack of clear continuity. I also can't help but feel that corporate greed has influenced the portrayal of Freddy over the years. While the franchise has made some positive changes to the character, the reboot seemed to struggle with capturing the essence of who Freddy originally was. T...

  Day 248 July 4th, 2024 It's July 4th, and that means it's time for another day of enduring this cinematic masterpiece! Freddy vs. Jason makes The Room look Oscar-worthy, believe it or not.  I've been contemplating declaring my independence from this movie and leaving it in the dust, but I can't bring myself to do it. While it would undoubtedly be beneficial for my mental health, I've committed to sticking it out for the long haul. One particular scene that has been on my mind is the dream sequence with Mark. I can't help but wonder why Freddy didn't turn on the water to ensure that Mark was truly doomed in the dream. If my stay-awake pill happened to fall into the sink drain, I would go as far as disassembling the drain to retrieve it. Thinking about it, I wonder why Freddy didn't turn on the water to ensure that Mark was truly doomed in the dream. If Freddy had flushed the pill down the drain, Mark wouldn't have had any means of obtaining it back....
