Are we getting somewhere, Freddy?


To answer that question, we got nowhere. All Freddy manages to do is show us how Jason met his demise. You did try to get us somewhere by implying that maybe you were the one who did it. Just because you thought that you were getting somewhere by stabbing Jason in the skull in the dream world, you didn't. All that sequence manages to do is take the movie into its final act. It also didn't help that Lori and her newfound dream powers foiled your plan.


If things were written better and explored, I could see Freddy getting somewhere and possibly weakening Jason while he was in the dream world or killing him, setting the final act as Freddy vs Will and Lori. Then you could have picked back up with Jason returning and stabbing Freddy with his arm, helping Will and Lori defeat Freddy. 


To me, that would have made things a bit more interesting. Why do I say that? Freddy vs Jason is more of a Freddy movie than a hybrid of both franchises.

Day 51 December 20th, 2023  So again, I am just watching the movie for the sake of watching it. As much as I want to review more deleted scenes or sequences today, I am not feeling it. I am starting to wonder if this will take a toll on me mentally. It is like a daily chore like brushing your teeth or showering just to watch it. I know that I have a lot going on outside of watching the film, and seasonal depression is probably kicking in if you couldn't tell from some of the anti-Christmas stuff I was saying yesterday.   Day 106 February 13th, 2024 Someday this movie will change. Ah hell, who am I kidding it will not change. After 106 viewings I am surprised that I am not bored with the movie yet. I always find something new or try to view the movie differently. So, I guess changing things up in a way keeps this project going. I know that as this continues, I am bound to lose my mind. But who is to say that I haven't already lost my mind? Today's viewing was back to the basics. No 2x viewing, and no other thrills as in watching the movie in unusual places. Granted that I enjoy watching the film in unusual places. I feel I have one place to complete those viewings and that would be in the bathroom. Honestly, I do not know if I would ever do that. The less time spent in the bathroom the better. It also would raise questions as to what I am doing. One hundred and nine days of agony!

  Day 109 February 16th, 2024 Hi Jethro! Today is a simple day of recollection. I did watch the movie but I wanted to pivot again from writing about the film and any crackpot theories I may have as my sanity slowly slips away into the abyss called Crystal Lake. I haven't been in the best of moods all week and I continue writing daily because I find it to be cathartic. I am not a fan of the Hallmark holiday and I am not a fan of the blood work results I received. One would think that I should just abandon the project and shift focus to myself. What if I were to simply ride the wave of consistency and start making changes for myself? After all, this is my one go at life and I would be pretty pissed if it came to an abrupt ending.
