Chapter three
So far, this is following the movie in this chapter.
Trey happens to be a germophobe
The film would have benefitted from seeing Gibb slip and fall in the bloody remains of Trey. To me, it would have established Jason as a threat.
Seeing Kia, Lori, and Blake discover Trey’s body was a missed opportunity.
Another missed opportunity was having Lori say Freddy’s name and then being confronted by a pissed-off Sherrif Williams.
The interaction between Sherrif Williams and his deputies would have added depth to the film. His confusion about why people will not let Freddy be and bringing up the past would have added to his character.
The obsession with that house should have been explained.
Omg, the book mentions parents outside of seeing Dr. Campbell and Blake's dad.
Wait what! Lori asked Sherrif Williams about Freddy?!? The movie could have benefitted yet again if it had that.
Lori telling Stubbs the name Freddy would have been a nice twist in the film. Instead, we get a vague response from her, saying she heard one of the officers say a name.
The chapter comes to a close with the start of Lori’s police station dream.
